OUR TEACHERS
Astrid Cifuentes
Astrid Cifuentes is a music instructor who teaches voice and piano. She attended San Francisco State University and received her Bachelors in Art with a focus in voice. Most of her repertoire consisted of classical music, where she learned about vocal technique and interpretation.
Astrid’s musical journey started when she was seven years old. She started singing in her father’s band playing cumbia, duranguense, norteño, quebraditas and other latin styles in Guatemala. This continued after moving to the United States and later in high school she joined her school's choir and participated in talent shows with her older sister.
After she graduated from high school, she started taking voice classes in college and private voice lessons at Inspire Music. Astrid fell in love with classical music, particularly the music of Franz Schubert as it helped her find her true voice.
Astrid has been giving lessons for two years, both piano and voice, and truly enjoys seeing her students grow musically. Her goal is to help each of her students embrace their given gift and enjoy their musical journey. Now that she received her degree in music at San Francisco State University, she wishes to share what she has learned with those who aspire to grow their musical talent.
