With over 700 students and nearly forty faculty, Inspire Music is one of the largest private music studios in the Bay Area. Our diverse faculty brings a wide range of musical experience, offering instruction in many different instruments and musical styles. In addition to our private lessons, we also offer instrument rentals, accessories, and group classes.

Carlos Rivera

Carlos Rivera is a guitarist from San Diego and is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory Of Music under Internationally renowned guitarist Marc Teicholz.

 

Carlos received his Bachelors of Music from CSU Chico under the instruction of Toby Roye who was also an SFCM Alumni. Carlos has also participated in masterclasses with some of the most famous guitarists of our time including David Russell, Roland Dyens, Scott Tennant, Bill Kanengeiser, Andrew York, and Elliot Fisk. He has given solo recital concerts all around California, and frequently plays weddings and other events in various styles of music around the Bay Area.

 

In addition to classical music, Carlos actively pursues other styles of music including  jazz, rock, metal, and blues. In the future he plans to enter guitar competitions and continue teaching, recording, and performing.
