Mengyu Luo

Mengyu Luo began studying the piano at the age of six and is currently pursuing a master's degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying with Professor Sharon Mann.  Before coming to San Francisco, Mengyu was a student of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music where she began at the age of 11 and earned her Bachelor's degree in 2018.

Mengyu began teaching in 2014 as an assistant teacher in Sichuan Conservatory of Music and now teaches at Inspire Music in San Francisco.  Her students range from young children who have never touched a piano to fellow conservatory students.

Mengyu was rewarded with the Sichuan National Prominent Student Scholarship twice in 2015 and 2016 as well as the Yamaha Scholarship 2016.  In the summer of 2019 she was invited by the Kayserburg Piano Competition to be a judge in the Chengdu Division.  She was also invited to be a piano and collaborative instruments master class teacher for the 3rd Chengdu Jiezi International Youth Music Festival in 2019 where she performed with Professor Rhett Bender as well as Micheal Gross, Dean of Oregon State University.
